    Default Spider rigging with braid?

    Hey guys,
Do you recommend braid for spider rigging? If not, why? What pound test?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Don't care for it at all. I would rather my line break than my pole.

If you didnt fish with clients all the time, say just you and a partner, would you use it, do you think it hurts the bite any, not on the muddy water u fish, but on water inbetween yours and clear.

i would not try it, like Feelay said, you will end up with broken poles. In addition to that, braid can cut grooves in your guides. Don't get me wrong braid has its place, super strong and sensitive, just not much use for it in the crappie world, particularly spider rigging.

tried it, hated it.....I like braid on my jig swimming rod......tangles are numerious and a pain vert trolling w braid, any kind ofvwake from a boat or chop that made the boat bounce always made my hook tangle above and around my sinker, use the same setup with mono and no tangle problem.....i like braid, but I dont have it on any rod I vert troll with........

I use it on all my rods except my pitchin corks pole. Never see a groove in the eyes of the rods and have never broken a rod while using it. I can guarantee ya htis, the sensitivity is tremendous, it is easier to get jigs loose and it doesnt twist. Vicious yellow....
