    Default Best Soft Plastics

Hey all....I have really been into bass fishing in the past but have really been turned on to Crappie. I have been having to stock up on jigs etc to get me a full selection of colors etc. Does anyone have any suggestions on what works best for them? I pretty much just have 1 1/2 in tube jigs in several colors and a few basic curly tails...Any help would be appreciated!

Check out the "Haw River" brand tails. I haven't use them a lot but when I do they work really well for me. Great action on the tail.

I like using solid body jigs that I buy from the local baitshop. They last a lot longer the the hollow body tubes. I also wouuld get some marabou and hair jigs in your favorite colors. I also have heard a lot of good about YUMS new wooley beavertails.

Yeah I have heard about the yum wooley beaver tails...but they look rather bulky and I have been reluctant to try them....I guess that I will have to give in and try some.

Try Kalins Triple Threat curl tail grubs in black and silver or the Tennessee shad.We do extremely well using these.

For jigging or dead sticking, I really like crappie thunders and beaver tails. If I'm trolling jigs, curly-tails and small swim-baits or sassy shad styles.

    Chadku

After you have seen 3"-4" shad spit up by crappie in your livewell you won't think they are two bulky.

Then you'll be suprised how small some of the crappie you catch once you have abopted the 'big bait big fish' statagey and start using bigger baits.

I don't think you should be afraid of larger baits for crappie.

    Good luck

Crappie Chatt, I would be more than happy to go with you if you are willing to take me. My buddy and I were planning to make a trip to Clinton Saturday, but I can reschedule if Saturday is best for you. (Sundays are not the best for me) I appreciate the help. Let me know and I can meet you where ever you would like to go!

    Thanks, Chad

Try all of the various colors of Kalins triple threat grubs. It shouldn't take you long to see why. I hope this helps!
