    Default Line counting reels for spider riggin?


    howdy just wanting to know if there is a line countin reel for sPider riggin ?I will be using 10 and 12 ft Pro angler rods. Any info would be much appreciated !

    You dont need em for riggin , you use pole lenght as a reference.

    IMO the line counter reels are much too heavy for spider rigging and they are not needed. I use the same rods for spider rigging, long lining and trolling Bandits and just change out reels. I only use the Okuma line counter reels for the Bandits. I use small spinning reels for everything else.

    X3, I tried using my Daiwa 17's and they were much to cumbersome and heavy. I've gone back to the cheap Daiwa Sweepfire 2500 spinning reels on the spider rigging rods.
