Great way to start out the year. congrats.
We spend alot of the spring and summer weekends over there just never really get on the crappie.
Started the New Year our right - headed to the lake!!! The temps were cold, the wind sharp but the crappie were hot, hot, hot!!!! If the start of 2013 is any indication of the year to come we have truly been blessed! Fished brush in 20-30 feet of water, 12-20 feet deep. We caught four limits in three hours on just 4 piles. They were stacked and hungry. Caught fish on jigs - white, blue and blue & white. Just verticled jigged over the top of the brush.
Here's to hoping you have a crappie year.

Sounds like a great start to the year.
Good job Brad!
Great job & Great report. What a good way to start off the new year. I would think that catching them took your mind off the wind bite for a little while.
Seen one of your buddies (Harris-I think)fishing sunday, the bite sure is good if you stay with them,James has been doing a good job at doing that.We may have to come down the lake farther and try some of your brushpiles,LOL.Glad you had a good day.congrats on the fish
Oh,by the way,James may be looking for a new hat.
sounds like you had a great trip brad! any size to em?
congrats. sounds like a hot time at the lake for sure.
James - the new hat is possible but can't promise it will help you out fish your dad!! Yes very good size to them.
