    What is the best fish finder in the 600 to 800 dollor range for crappie fishing

    If I had to go with one in the range you say I would look for a used 798 Humminbird. Can't beat side image. They fall in that range and are the complete with gps and everything a fisherman could want.

    There's a bit of a learning curve but it is worth the trouble. It's the newest technology in the smallest package offered that I know of. Very helpful in finding structure and fish without disturbing them before you get after them. Lots of folks out here will help you learn what you need to know, there's even a section for it.

    If funds are limited..the HB 598ci HD SI Combo is the same as the 798ci HD SI Combo...minus (-) 1 card slot, 3 preset view keys, and Ethernet....

    It's HB's way of getting more people into SI at a reasonable cost....

    If I was going with the 6-8 range I would look at the new elite 7 HDI by lowrance that is coming out. It has 2d dSI and GPS. Going to put one on the front of my boat I think and put a hds 8 on my console.
