Default Got To Go Crappie Fishing This Morning

Got a chance to go fishing this morning, got on the water at 6am and it was 30° and the water temp was 48° Lot of
new water in the lake after the 3" of rain we go Christmas night. Bite started off a little slow, I was at one on my favorite
spot in 13' of water. Was catching some at 5-7' and when I deepened to about 10' I picked up some bigger fish.
It's fun when you get bites on both minnow poles and the jig pole at once, nothing to do but pull them in the boat
in a pile at your feet and untangle the lines afterwards.

This was one of the better ones at 16 1/2" and made me grab the net.

I got of the water at 8:30am and headed to the house to clean fish, here's the cooler.

And a few of the nicer ones about to go under the knife.

I ended up with 29 crappie and everyone of them had a full gullet of shad and a lot of them had started
    their egg sacks for spring.

We found em deep and when they slowed we moved up shallower and it was back on. We didn't do as good as you did, but had a good morning with a newbie. Good catch Blackhawk.

Nice fish. I was able to go the 23rd and had a good day. The weather was cold here too. I gave 8 away to a lady at service station and cleaned 17..My dogs had to help. ChetName: 003.jpg

That's a strange looking boat in the first pic. Looks like a mini pontoon boat. Have you got a wider range pic?
