    Mumpy, be patient. Hiring someone is a great idea, I think a lot of us have. It sounds like you gave it a shot and had a hard time. Don't beat yourself up if you did, there are tough days and even the best of us have a hard time. Enjoy the trip, catch a bunch and learn even more. Merry Christmas.

    I think my next move on this should be going out with a guide that is using the same techniques that I'm trying to learn. To say I had a hard time yesterday is an understatement, hehe. I launched my boat at daybreak in 28 degrees and left Eufaula just about dark and caught ZERO, NOTHING, NOT ONE FISH!

    That's gotta change!

    Time on the water is the great equalizer. Hiring a guide or going with an experienced fisherman is a good way to start.
