my wife got me a 2007 chevy silverrdo 1500 for christmas. got a 14 grizzly and would like to know if anyone has used a stepbumper hitch.if you have on on your chevy truck that will fit can you give me the model and make they most have hole pattern with 8 1/2 and 10 1/2.thank you guy's for your time.

bumper hitches are not the way to go. get a frame hitch. much safer.......jmo

What chucktx said, that is the safest way to go and probably the simpelest too. You can buy the bolt on hitch and reciever and also the inline wiring harness that does not require any splices. Makes a first class installation easier. Good luck, Ferdi aka Fred

Your bumper hitch is more than adequate for a 14' Jon boat.

All the responses so far have merit. Just my opinion, there is no need for a step bumper for moving anything but the lawn mower. The added stress shows itself down the road, and the turning radius is diminished. That results in the tongue of the trailer being bent AND ding in the finish of the bumper. Frame hitches also lower the front of the trailer, keeping it more level during transit and the motor higher off the pavement. Most are high enough but speed bumps and slightly missed driveways always make me nervous. The extra dollars for a frame hitch is a smart investment.
