Congrats on the new ride and gettin it broke in.Glad u got a few.
Got out yesterday the 19th, the wife wanted to Christmas shop at the lake of the ozarks, so I said lets take the truck. Loaded up the new kayak and hit the water around 3pm. Paddled to the back of the cove and started casting. It was slow at first then I found some brush. My second fish was a 13.5" which in my opinion is a slab for around here. It was a white and then I caught a 12" black. Ended up catching 5 fish along a bluff in about 9' to 20' foot of water. Ended up letting them all go. It was exciting to catch fish out of the kayak the first time I used it. I won't lie to you though it wasn't easy at first and I lost a back up fishing pole in the process. I think it would work best if you have a tree you can tie to or anchor to be stationary if it's windy. I enjoyed getting out and crappie fishing it had been a while. Merry Christmas everyone and God Bless.
New goal 16" crappie by December 30

nice going man, sounds like a pretty good day, you did not have to shop!!!
Yes sir I would rather take a beating than shop, you done good! I don't know bout this yak thing when the water is in the 40's though?
Glad it is stable, never been in one and don't have any plans at the present. I do a fair amount of duck hunting and let me tell ya what they say about them chest waders, when you do go in they are like a cork, when they find ya you are feet up. I would recommend a good life jacket and leave them waders for places you can walk. Just some advice from and old fat man! It may not be worth any more than ya paid for it?
Congrats, you, Seth, and I need to get together on an outing. Maybe a kayak crappie tournament.
The best way to get to where you want to be in the future is to act like you are there TODAY.
good choice on the fishing over the shopping. Congrats on the outing
