Think my Pelican 10 foot Bass Raider is rated for 3.5hp but 35# trolling motor moves it as fast as I need to go.

I'm setting up a Pelican 10' Bass Raider with oars like a drift boat. In Michigan we do not need to buy registration numbers if we do not have a motor. I'm not sure if I need registration numbers with an electric motor. Does anybody out there have any experience with this. I was told that I will not be able to row a bass raider. I'm a hardhead so I'm setting it up to try it. If it does not work I'll go to the motor. Any advice about Michigan laws would be appreciated. I have the DNR rules but they are not real clear.

Better check your Regs, I'd bet you'll still have to register with an electric TM.
