3-D TV's

I'm going to get a new TV and am debating wether or not I need a 3-D type. I know nothing about them and really don't need one but thought my grand daughter would like it. They have come way down in price and the 3-D models are only $50-100 more. I know you need CDs made for 3-D but what about the player? Are they special too? Any opinions?

The salesperson almost had me talked into one, good sales pitch. The demo was cool and my family was ooooing and awing over it and we looked at each other with those stupid glasses on and thought would we really wear these in our house. The answer was no for us. Good luck buying electronics can be a pain.

Can't help, but I will say the thought of seeing you in a pair of 3D glasses did give me the best laugh I've had all week.

We looked at the 3D sets, but chose not to get one.

3D movies on discs are Blue-Ray, so you will need a Blue Ray player.
