Good Job and u is a brave one...........
Went back to the 4 mile marker to try night fishing. Buddy backed out so I went solo. One of the best bites I had all year; limited out in less than 50 min minnow fishing. Most of the fish were blacks 9 3/4 to 10.5 and really thick. I was in 28 feet of water off a main channel ledge and was fishing 12 to 15 feet down. Used a slip bobber rig or countdown method to control my depth. It was a little chilly but with good cold gear I wasn't cold at all. Water temp is still right at 50 degrees. MAN I LOVE NIGHT FISHING!!!

A FISH IN THE PAN IS WORTH TWO IN THE LAKE
Congrats on a good night of fishing. Did you spot the fish on the locator? Were they just hanging on the ledges or were they chasing the shad ball. I would have a little propane heater in the boat.
I stumbled on this spot in the summer and it has been very productive. I think there are a lot of places you could fish right now at night as long as your along the main channel or secondary creek channel. Not finding much brush in this spot but your regular deep brush piles should be good. I think this spot I was fishing is all about the drop off.
nice report, sounds like a great night for sure, congrats.
Nice report -- i'll haft to try that....
Very nice! If'n I was a little younger I might say I am going to try this! Thanks for the report!
I never thought about night fishing in the winter. Sounds like a good time. With it almost dark at 5 and a good bite you could be home by bedtime.
