Default HB 596 DI transducer direction on TM ?

Just bought the Hummingbird 596c HD DI and the appropriate adapter to mount the transducer on my trolling mtr.
This transducer is long and slender with one end a little more pointed.
Does it make a difference on these DI units which way you point the transducer on a TM ?
    Thanks

Technically the DI sonar beam doesn't discern left from right....so I think it would work either direction....but...

This is the XNT 9 DI T..which probably came in the box...
