bottom seat jig rod?

want to get me a bottom reel seat jig rod for vert jigging and dipping lilly pads.......12ft and bottom reel seat is a must.....what rods should i look at?

Do you mean on the Butt end simalar to a Fly Rod? Wally Marshall makes one that is adjustable sliding up and down. BB

James.....BnM has a nee Sam Heaton super sensitive out now with the rear reel seat......they are really nice.

On the Arkansas board find Midsouth Man, his name is Dennis, send him a PM for the particulars, but he pimps Ozark Rods. I personally fish one of the 11' forward seat models and I love it. They make forward and rear seat models in various lengths. It would be tough for me to buy a rod I've never fished but just look up Ozark Rods up the top right hand corner of this page in the search box and look through the pages that come up. A lot of the anglers in this area seem to use them and really like them. Good luck shopping !!

The ozarks are worth a look and available in 12 foot. I like mine. I bought mine from a guy that goes by Conway on the Arkansas board. Im7 graphite very light with plenty of backbone and a fast tip. I have the forward reel seat Sam Heaton's and I like them but I'm looking for the bottom reel seat model myself to try.

also consider the homer humphreys rod made by american rodsmiths available at grizzly jig, I have a ten footer and it is a really nice rod, everyone that has used these rods raves about them, I haven't fished mine yet, the quality is wonderful on this rod and the price is low for what you get. plenty of backbone it fels like, which would be good for the pads, alot of the people go for the 11 footer.
