Have you ever thought of night stalling (fishing at nite)It works pretty good in North Alabama .Cann't ski after dark .Just a thought.
around here that is close to the house ,that has any amount of water in it is Horseshoe Lake. I checked out AG&F website for a fishing report and this is what I found. Of all the lakes to go sking and pleasure boating in North Mississippi, people pick on this small lake. Well they got to have fun too.
Horseshoe Lake: Bond’s said fishing is slow because of water sport traffic. Bream and catfish are biting well on crickets, nightcrawlers and red worms. All other species are poor.

I would go at the crack of dawn and fish the deepest piers you can find (down close to Snowden's bank). Or, try some trolling. You don't know until you go try. You would have to get there early and leave when the boat traffic starts. Also, I thought that Island 40, Dacus, and Whitehall got some water in them back in the spring. But I don't believe that they've been catching anything at any of those lakes.
Some people think that Horseshoe won't be that crowded, but when that's what everyone thinks.....I'd have no desire to be out there.
