Five (5) teams shattered last year's record catch weight for 7 fish..........

Cole team's 14 lbs. 3 oz. is as close to a 2 lb average as you can get and
still they did not come in with "big fish". They exceeded best to date for FCC
Championship since records were kept from 1996.................

    Booth / Jeremy 13 lbs 8 oz

Jeff & Dawn Brown 12 lbs 15 oz

    Williamson/ Howared 12 lbs 14 oz

    Parker / Ebertly 12 lbs 12 oz.

Twenty-eighth (28th) position weigh in this year exceeded last years 29th
position by 6 oz. Another record set. We have never held a tournament that
the entire current competitors exceeded the caught weight at same lake from year before.

All of these winners took their fish in open waters - none were take by "dock shooting" as have been experienced past couple years.

Alot of "pre-fish" hours were put in to find this quality of fish. It was said by some
of 29 qualifiers that "fishing the lake" changed drastically day to day. Heavy fog
on Friday-Saturday along with long overcast really changed fishing patterns.

My personal congrats to all who qualifyed for Championship and to those who participated. When the National Tournaments come in in January it ought to get
really interesting - "Big boys" against some of the best of the best the FCC has will be well represented.
