    Default Just starting out?

Just saw a sale on "Zebco Crappie Fighter" combo's in Gander Mountain. These are unknown to me, come in 10'and 12' and the price is $29.99. I would think it would be a good starting point for someone wanting to try a long rod without refinancing the house.

I have a couple in both lengths. It's a good starter combo for the price. I actually purchased these at Dicks Sporting Goods for a few dollars less GanderMountain. I haven't had any substantive issues, but do occasionally get the line caught under the spool. I think these came pre-spooled with 4lb line. I took that off and replaced with 6lb.

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

They are a bit heavy. I use them with Slip bobbers and minnows. They spend most of there time in the rod holder.
