Finally................

It happened yesterday, December 1st. Dayton Wayne got a 7 pointer with a 20 gauge.



The best part is that he was standing with his Grandpa and Uncle when the deer came his way. They though the hunt had ended and were heading back to the truck. One of the men told him to get ready. One reminded him to take the safety off. One shot later, one of them took the gun from him while a tiny bit of excitment rushed over him. Someone else shot at this deer and pushed it their way. There is a buckshot stuck in the antler to attest that is is best to shoot at the vitals to bring them down.





Of course, we all headed down to see them.



And yes, it will now cost me money, as we dropped off the head and cape last night.

I"m a very blessed man.

I even took the boat out to make sure it still runs. Had 90 minutes after work. Ran the boat. Confirmed that there were no crappie in my best two spots, and God threw me a bone, just as it was time to head back.
