Hey DinkMaster, i don't know where your located but if your close to St.Louis try www.tristatetrollingmotor.com I have'nt needed their help in quite awhile, but they fixed me up a couple times. If your Minn-Kota's warranty is'nt up, they're an authorized repair shop also. They usually have some rebuilt ones on hand to that they sell and warranty themselve's. As i said it's been quite awhile since i've been there, but they treated me right...izzy

Only a year old??? It's still under warranty, I believe. Take it to a warranty repair shop,,,they will let you know. Be sure and bring your reciept! When and where you bought it will help you! <*)}}}><

I have owned 2 minn kota and loved them. I did have a control board go out, there customer service is great. I had to take mine to a service center down by Camdenton. I waited as he fixed the problem was there maybe a hour. As Chatt said you need the receipt so they can prove the warranty. I believe there warranty covers everything on there units. Here are the places that might be close to you.
