It's a good life. Glad you're having fun.
I wanted to post this here as opposed to the TN forum because I wanted more people to read it.
I got here 10/30, and will be leaving in the morning, only because the Park is closing (otherwise I'd stay longer). I've had the best time, and met the greatest folks since arriving, than I can remember for the longest time.
I came here totally without a clue as to fishing the lake, but it didn't take long before enough info was offered that had me catching fish. And for those who read the Kayak FOrum, yes, I got the Reelfoot "Baptism"
I just wanted to personally thank Danny and Miss Kaye, hope you enjoy the Crappie (Campground Hosts), and Terry (and his wife, nice to meet you) for taking me out in his boat Friday and Saturday, Mark and Bird (Terry's friends) was nice to meet you, Chris (Splitshot I think he goes by here, and a friend of Terry) for offering to give me a seat in his boat (though we missed connections), TennesseeTrey for a day of fishing as well, and meeting FrankCecil on his way back North (nice to meet you, but we'll have to have more time next time).
I could go on and on, but will keep it short. I plan to return next Fall and hope to see some familiar faces, and some new ones as well. Thanks to all for making my stay here a memorable one!
BTW, My largest Crappie today was 1.5 lbs., now we'll see if I can beat that at Sardis.
Thanks again to everyone I ran into along the way during my stay here!

GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
Glad you had a good visit. Sorry we couldn't get together for a trip. Hope you catch some good uns in MS.
Thanks all, and maybe next year Splitshot82, 'cause I'll be back, and RF will be 1st stop on the list next Fall.
I mostly wanted to add a name, Donnie from Missouri. I'd met him soon after my arrival at RF, and he was the one who offered me a ride to the welding shop which fabricated my trailer parts. He also freely offered me advice on fishing the Lake, and even gave me a few jigs he'd tied. I simply spaced mentioning him in the original post because I had met him so early-on in my nearly 3 week stay.

Reelfoot is a very special place. Every freshwater fisherman ought to spend a few days of their life there. Hope you'll have a good time down here in MS too!
Have a safe trip NeonMoon, sure enjoyed reading your posts................
