    Default Blue Springs Lake

Thought I would share this. Wife and I were at Blue Springs Lake crappie fishing today. She had a pole off the back of the boat (with bobber and minnow), we were just letting the wind blow us down the side of the bank. All of a sudden she says I am stuck. I start to turn the boat around and line keeps coming off the reel - that when I see the line going towards the middle of the lake. We put the trolling motor on 5 and took after the fish. Finally catch up to it half way across the lake.

Makes up for not catching any crappie!

Does anyone know a good taxidermist??

He was 30" long. A few people estimated somewhere between 20-25lbs. We don't have scales to weigh it with.

What a beast, congrats! You can catch smaller ones over where the Jacomo spillway hits BS when the water is running. I've never seen one that big though!

Nice fish. Your just like me, the wife always has to hook into something bigger and then i have to hear about it for the next couple of weeks. That is one nice fish story for her to tell.
