If you have never fished Sardis in MS in February contact Feelay on the board here and he can put you on em. Winter is my favorite time to fish. Here is a pic of a few slabs in early February of this year.

As luck would have it my work schedule is completely booked next year for the months of March and April. I can get time off the month of February. I have been going to Lake Okeechobee for last couple years and looking for somewhere different this year.
I would like some suggestions on lakes that fishing is pretty good that
time of the year.
Any suggestions on lakes and crappie guides for first couple days and places to stay in the area.
Thanks for any help you can give me!

What they said....
TOO MANY IDIOTS TO FEW BULLETS
Cabins at the lake and private cabins on road to lake, motels close by. You also have the Casinos at tunica that have very good rooms and restaurants. And Carl will put you on the fish and a really great guy to spend the day with.

Since you live in Tennessee it seems the closest and cheapest and place to go would be a lake in Tennesee. Dale Hollow has some of the worlds best smallmouth fishing that time of year. Tims ford and Normandy have great crappie fishing in those months also. A good place to stay is at Tims Ford Marina. Nice cabins reasonable prices.
If you are going to fl you might try lake talquin, monroe, harris chain, cresent lake all great lakes with nice crappie.
If your interested in going to Texas. Lake fork is the grand daddy of them all bass crappie are outrageous in those months. We always fish bridge piers and the limit is 25 a person, 10" limit and 15" and 16" crappie are not scarce. By far the best lake I have ever fished
"my wife" crappie fishing is a jerk on one end waiting for a jerk on the other."
pullin they're heads up, ears and all
Thanks guys some pretty good ideas! It's really got me thinking now! I've been wanting to contact Feeley for a while now and plan a trip with him, so this might be the perfect time.
Thanks Kevin
A big advantage Feelay has on Sardis is the boat he now guides out of. You can still fish days with him when most every other boat gets blown off the lake. Good luck and I hope you have a great trip. I'm headed to Sardis in the morning for the next 2 days myself.
