    Default quick help- cricket hooks


    hey all,

    if fishing for bream, what kind of hooks should i use for crickets? i had tried "bait hooks", but i think those might be too big. any help is great. thanks.

    #6 long shank works good for me when using mealworms, redworms and crickets. I have caught up to 20 pound carp (by accident) on those hooks. You can get them at any Wally World.

    We use (#8 Cricket Hooks). Some Wal-Marts carry them.
    These have long shanks. Also use them for B-moth.
    We aren't experts but these work best for us. Try them, I think you will like them.

    I use these with any bait for bream, 'maggies or spikes' and lately berkleys 'honey worm' are my favorites and they are murder on any panfish, you will be amaized at the size fish these small hooks will hold
    all these fish were caught on #8's
