    Default WooHoo, trailer fixed!

At least until I get back to IN where I can pull the floor sheeting (it's not heavy enough anyway), cut the old tongue out, and replace it with a heavier version. Then this won't happen again after that.

Was too windy to fish anyway (I tried).

I'm guessing the beer cans it's made from were the cheap ones

Thanks, but my design . I took him a detailed drawing of what I wanted, but he thought he could do it better/cheaper, until he came out and looked at it. Then he agreed my solution was the best idea. Everything is 1/4" wall.

    I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Was a nice day on the water, wind was pretty calm until late morning. Before it picked-up a little I could actually set in one spot without assistance. Caught about 10, 6 were keepers that I gave to a couple other guys fishing. I had a couple errands to run and didn't want to take time to clean fish. I was wanting some to eat, but I'll be back on the water the next couple days and have the chance to catch a few more for supper.

Your in a great place when everything comes together for you. This crazy weather has been rough on everyone this year. It's supposed to start getting a little better in the next few days.

Because the tongue is roughly 16ga (entirely too light to begin with), and I didn't want to chance ripping it out where the welds were added, and the 1/4"X2" tangs will squeeze against the entire 4" height of the frame where they contact it. Once the guy who made the pieces confirmed my solution was the best, that was good enough for me.
