Have often wondered why the Blacks are a little heavier in North & Northcentral
parts of Florida than in center and lower Florida.
Possible warmer waters year round, or soil composition in the south. Tanic or heavier stained
water dosen't seem to matter to the them
Time of year don't seem to bother as both starting gaining weight from October through spawn. Lake Tarpon females starting showing signs of egging up in
late August, now they are putting on "feed bag" so hard that stomachs and intestines are bulging to point that they look like they are pregnent.
Crescent i used to think had the bigger fish because of some salt intrusison from
St Johns, thus bringing in more and different continued food supply..
Would like to know possible real reasons ?
