OK I read something wrong. so if my first reply went through its all true just didnt read something correct. anyway find some trees off a deep spot and light it up those crappie will come in to the lights.they are hanging deep then coming in to the shallow water to feed, I night fish the sons creek area couple good steep bulffs withe shallow /deep water close doing good in the am from 7:30 till 11:00 good keepers, in 15 to 20 feet some in 5to10 next to the bluff. if you can find 12to 20 ft. next to 30to 40 feet it will work.

Miller how about some information on your night stalk at smithville. If you used minnows or jigs & what kind of water you were fishing Thanks Jim C.

Sorry for the short reply I was in a hurry. But, went to smithville Friday night and we caught around 50 in 20 foot of water using minnows. The fish seemed to be only 3 or 4 feet down. We were fishing off a point in the standing timber. The bad thing was that out of that 50 we only had four that were over 9" . If the lenth limit was 8 1/2" we would have limited out fast.
