    Default Cutting the sprue

I poured a bunch of jigheads yesterday for the first time.
When you guys that have been doing this for a lot longer cut off the sprue, do you go back and sand the area smooth or what do you do?
On mine, there is a definite mark where I cut it off.

    Thanks

    Disregard,
A different search found just what I was asking about.
    Thanks

Check at walmart, in the jewelry making section. There you will find a good pair of cutters. Try cutting both ways, see which way works better for you. I cut with the flat toward the sprue to get a rounder look.

I wiggle the sprue back and forth and have an old file to smooth the small mark - found that the cutters just slowed me down
