    Default Voice activated voice recorders

My old Radio Shack micro cassette recorder finally gave up. I would like to replace it with one that will record & then be able to save the recordings to my computer & also to a CD.

    Any suggestions?

don, go to walmart and look, i think, on the isle going into the place walmart.com or restroom. they have a recorder smaller than a pack of cigs that does that if you can figure out how to get the recording to your puter then cut a cd from that. i got one and my son had to figure it out for me and i cut a cd of my very poor fiddle playing. a lady fiddler down in florida showed me hers and she could do the whole thing of record to puter to cd in a matter of minutes. they are about 50.00

don, my memory on that isle that recorder is on may be off. i know it's on the outside of the last isle of electronics. i'm no good at puter stuff and i'm sure you can do all the work to record and then to the puter and cut a cd.

Just bought a Sony voice recorder. About 3 inches long, 1 1/4 wide and 1/4 inch thick. Works great. Plugs directly into my puter. It is about $100 at Best Buy though.

The technology on those is amazing, The only factor regarding price these days is storage capacity. One that was $100 3 years ago, is probably $15 now.

Using the same format, it's a free feature on most smartphones.
