    Default My lucky day

Whooohooo, hit $100 on an instant lottery ticket today so I actually bought something for myself. With firearm deer season opening next week I decided after 3 years
of not even purchasing a deer license that I am going to do it this year. And not only that, but I am going to hunt in comfort, like the old man I am becoming deserves.
So I went down to the local Dunhams Sporting Goods at lunch time and bought me a nice Ameristep pop up blind. Then I stopped by WalMart and bought a little propane
heater and a half dozen bottles 16oz bottles of propane. I scheduled myself off for the first four days of season and am heading for Unit 487 to shoot me a couple does.
Of course I will shoot a buck if I see one, but I am much more interested in the meat than the antlers. My wife complains enough about all the antlers around the
house already but she never has an issue with the meat, so I guess it's time to fill the freezer. Thanks to the Michigan State Lottery. I'm gonna kill somethin!
It is not about the equipment you have to use,
It is about how you use the equipment you have. :D

Didn't cost ya' $105 to win that Hun did it? I had a buddy I used to frequent the local Pub with, and they had a couple of those Cherry Master machines. I'd watch him pump $3-400 in them, and when he hit for $2-250, you'd have thought he struck gold!

Just remember to stay downwind when you're makin' them S'mores over that new heater!

Congrats, and hope you end-up with some venison for the table!

Glad to see you purchased something you can use for several years and enjoy. Hope the freezer holds all you harvest. Congrats too.

Nope, only cost me about $30 - $35, as this was only the 6th or 7th ticket I have purchased all year. Not much of one for buying them as I pretty much always lose, but for some reason I decided to pick one up yesterday. Yeehaa. Actually it will be pheasant stew that will be warming on that heater. Hopefully some good pics and a story will follow shortly after my hunt.
