Default Bluegills and Beadhead Pheasant Tail Nymphs

Went down to the pond this afternoon for a bit of fishing before dark. Wasn't expecting to do much at all. Ended up catching close to 30 nice Bluegills on Beadhead Pheasant Tail Nymphs on a flyrod. I should have kept them but I didn't really want to mess with cleaning them so late out in the skeeters.

I'll be fishing some PT nymphs this weekend. I hope I do as well as you!

Try fishing early mornings if you can so the skeeters aren't so bad :D.

Get a ThermaCell - skeeters won't even dream on coming in to bite. If you haven't tried one, do so - the things are UNBELIEVABLE!

Now you can catch your fish and eat them too!!

i just spread a news paper out on the kitchen table, filet and skin them in the air conditionin...usually put all my fish on ice overnite to stiffen them up, they are easier to filet and you are not as tired the next day.
