Even a blind squirrel can...........uhhhhh, never mind. Good job, Vic. One can NEVER have too many spots.
I've always had a hard time going past a known 'spot' to look for something new. But yesterday while motoring out of a spot, I noticed a brush pile on the DI. So I marked it and went on to my next spot. Well neither the first spot, nor the next were worth a dang, so I thought I would try the new mark on the depthfinder. I struggled to work into the wind without spooking anything out, but when I finally got within 15' of my marker buoy, I picked up a fish....then another and another. Might have had 10 keepers in all plus some shorts. Nothing over 12", but still good eaters. So I learned more about working in the wind, and a little about trying new 'spots'

Congrats on making the electronics pay off. When I fish alone I always go looking for some new stuff. I get in the bad habit of going to a spot that I can catch fish when I take guys with me. But I am lucky enough to live close and get to go a lot so I can explore a lot. Also helps that I don't eat fish and just like to try and catch big fish. If I liked fish I know a spot or two that would be cleaned out
I know I have so much to learn. But when I'm in a tree field like what we see at Truman or Smithville, I don't have a clue where to start, and I'm not sure any sonar can help in that stuff. I'm learning lots here, tho, so there may still be hope
there is no hope for you, you will just have to plug along and hope to catch a scraggler or two on any tuesday
Great job Vic!!! Way to stay after 'em!
