Default Finding crappie but small ones..

I went night fishing last Saturday night and had alot of fun catching good catfish and alot of small crappie. We were in 20'the of water. My question is how do I find the bigger crappie? Is it to early for them to come back up to feed in minnows-shad yet?

I fish Norris Lake and it's about the same here. Tons of small crappie under 10". Average has been about 7-8". But this lake isn't known for producing much in the way of crappie to begin with.

OK, I'm curious, what do they feed on there the rest of the year. Here they feed on shad/minnows all year.
    Good fishing.

What Mr Patty said X 2. My advice to anyone fishing only catching dinks is change location. I see that here on Lake Nimrod almost daily. Folks can't stand to leave biting Crappie even when they are all dinks!

Some places can have heavy feeding on may and willow flies, at certain times.
