Haha.
If looks could kill I would be a dead man! I was cutting across the lake pretty fast when I noticed on my GPS that I was within 100 feet of the brushpile that I had planned on fishing. So I got off the throttle pretty fast so I wouldn't overrun the brushpile. I'm in the front of my stick steering Tracker boat and my wife is in the back seat turned facing out the back.
She's back there just enjoying the day when all of a sudden her "baby" Abbie, our year old Rat Terrier goes swimming by her at the back of the boat as the boat is still moving forward.
She is always fussing at me for letting Abbie stand right on the nose of the boat as we are running across the lake. When I shut down to quickly she fell off the front of the boat and all I could do was turn a little and kick it out of gear.
The boat was still coasting forward so my wife had to coax Abbie to swim and catch the boat. My wife grabbed her up with a towel wrapped around her and turned and looked at me.
Boy did I catch it!!

LOL. That is hilarious. Heck you can tell your wife that 1. The dog wanted to go swimming or 2. She needed a bath.

Buy her a life vest and your wife won't be as panicked if it happens again. J-B Pets and Foster&Smith sell them in all sizes. Don't have any catalogs laying around or I would give you a price, but you can find them online. - Roberta

i wish my dog would go with me, but he hates being in the boat when i go fast...
Abbie doesn't bother the fish,(my Father-in-Laws dog would eat them right thru the landing net if you didn't put them up right away), but when she hears the trolling motor come up she gets on the front and gets ready to ride!
