What sizes do you use for crappie and how do you fish them? I've used KastMaster spoons (1/12 oz.) and small size Swedish Pimples on many occasions during the ice out and just prior to ice up. We cast them out and let them sink to depth. Then a slow retrieve for a few feet and another drop. Very effective on bluegill as well as perch. I've never done well using these for crappie though - no idea why? Never tried the Mooselook though. I'll have to get a few. Thanks for the info.

3/4-ounce spoon around brush piles or schools of crappie in open water works good.

I was fishing with a friend early summer and he wanted to go fish for Yellow Bass with 1/2 oz spoons and we did catch some of the Yellow bass and some white bass, but also found one spot that we caught some really nice crappie on them as well.

I've been using something similar for striper/Kentucky Bass fishing the last couple of weeks. I've never fished a spoon in my life until about 3 weeks ago & went fishing with my 77 year old uncle. Well he has made a believer out of me. I've already stocked up a box with several sizes/namebrands/styles. I'm going to try and purchase some of these. They look like a killer bait. Thanks for the heads up.

I use spoons for crappies but they're a diffrent kind. They're called Microspoons. Been using them for quite some time now and they are a killer bait. I've caught just about every species of fish on them too. Give Keith and Jessica a look. You'll be glad you did. www.microspoons.com

I see they started selling to the public again, they had went just wholesale for awhile. Glad to see that.
