    Default minnow storage

I'm planing on hitting the lake tomorrow around 7am, problem is my local bait shop opens at 9am on Sundays. I was thinking that I could buy some minnows tonight around 645pm and store them in my minnow bucket in the garage over night withthe bubbler on. Would that work or do you guys think they'd die off? I have the insulated bucket and they'd be kept in the garage. Any tips or suggestions would help.

I don't see why you can't keep them. I have come home with some and put my aquarium bubbler in the bucket and they were fine the next day. Keep in mind they had been in my bucket all day before I stored them overnight.

I have the aquarium bubbler I got at Walmart, I have kept them a week. Just have to change the water daily.

I have kept them for days before in cool weather. Just keep them aerated.
A bad day fishing is still better than almost anything!!

I fill a bucket with water and let sit for 24 or more hours before adding minnows. I also catch rain water and do a 50/50 mix with the distilled water. I do a 50/50 mix of the old water that the minnows came in with the new mix every 2 days.
During hot weather, I add a frozen bottle of water to the bucket.
