down here in the carolinas almost all the tournament guys fish the southern crappie rods, made from carbon and kevlar, very tough yet still light, and just have the right action to detect a bite and keep them hooked. google them
Get rods that are designed for trolling. They usually will not have the med/light, med/heavy designation as with other rods.

BnM 12'or14' trolling rods
I have several BGJP rods for riggin and like em fine, but I don't use any weight on the line to speak of. If I were using Capps and Coleman rigs or pushing cranks the weight would be too much for these more limber rods. The trolling rods aren't as light action but I believe they would be the better choice for versatility. Feelay aint pretty but he does a lot more of this than I do and could probably give you the right direction to go.
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
If you were just spiderrigging, I would suggest the B & M BGJP's or Capps & Coleman rods. Since you want to dual purpose the rods for longlining also, the B & M PST'S would be a better choice, in my opinion. Lots of guys like the Southern crappie rods and the Ozarks but I haven't used them. I'm sure all would work well.

PST's and you can Spider rig, longline and pull crank baits all with the same rod. All the others have their pluses but not as versatile as the PST. Ideal situation is get in boat with someone who has poles your interested in and try them out.
