great pictures.....those lines showing up near the surface on the di are coming from some kind of blockage near the surface and your transducer is pinging off it. those other lines in some of shots are interference coming from your outboard. i can see it more when you throttle up on your motor.you've got a real pretty shot of some kind of brush/tree top that sure looks like it would show up on the 200khz but it doesnt so its got to be more than 7 ft. off to one side.you also have a good shot of a fish that i can make out head from tail and also see his dorsal fin.(way to go) remember when looking at those fish on di from si they all look like there strait under the boat and some are, but some can be way out to the sides so if you dont see fish on the 200khz but you do on di that means there outside of the 200khz coverage area.

On the interference lines are from my flasher that I run which has its own transducer. The white lines on si. I can see the fish now but hard to see when on the lake.

South65... Are you running 455kHz or 800kHz on the SI beams...??

As the DI image is basically the SI image (just rearranged and blended) the setting for the SI beam will determine the image quality of the DI ...

While the 455kHz beam will give more total water coverage (to the surface on each side)... The 800kHz beam will give a better quality image...

Here is a quote from Greg on another forum of how the HB SI series units generate the DI image from the SI data...

The Di sonar in the HB Si units is a blend of both the left and right Si sonar:
*- take the right Si sonar and rotate it 90 degrees clockwise.
*- take the left Si sonar and flip it horizontally (mirror image) and then rotate it 90 degrees clockwise.
*- overlay the two images and you have a Di sonar image.

Experiment with 800kHz SI beam setting and notice if the images (SI and DI) aren't sharper...
