try stren, been using it for years with no issues.
During the past week fishing lake Talquin, I have lost more jigs that I did the entire fall season last year. First I thought I was not tying my knots right, tried loop knot and surgeons knot and when I hooked up to a log, I could not shake it lose, but it would easily break. I am using the same light wire hooks as I did last year, so it is not that the lightwire hooks are heavier..
After some investigation, I find that the culprit is Crappie Maxx. Has anyone else experience this problem. Using 6lb hivis it seems to be breaking at 3-4 lbs. (estimate) Heck when casting, some times, my finger is not working well and the jig (using two per pole) casts about 5-10 feet and breaks off.

I also use 6 lb crappie maxx hi vis. No problems here sometimes it cuts my finger as I try and break it off when I can't shake it loose
might just be a bad batch of line, or old maybe ?
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
UV breaks line down
I use the Offshore Angler from BPS in hi vis and have great luck with it, and it's not high dollar. I use 4, 6, and 10 lb.

I am using crappie maxx and an well satisfied with it, I basically use 6lb test 90% of the time. I always tie a knot and then pull on it very hard before I use it, with a pair
of scales it normally takes about 8-9 lbs to break.
Lake fork tackle line here.
i have been using the new lake fork line also and so for i really like it !!!! it comes in 6,8 and 10 lb test
