    Default Stockton Crappie Club 2012

It is time to get things kicked off this year and the first tournament will be Saturday November 17th to avoid youth and opening weekend of deer season for those that will be hunting.

I think everyone liked the format last year so this year will be the same.

    Here are some details:

Club dues are $25.00 This is for supplies and any leftover funds will go to prizes and/or cash prize at end of season.

Entry fees for tournaments are: $20.00 per boat plus $5.00 per person for big fish pot.

Non-Members fishing tournaments pay additional $5.00 and are welcome!

There will be fish fry's after some of the tournaments.

We meet at the Stockton Lake Cabins in Stockton and you can launch from any ramp of your choosing. The closest ramps are the Stockton ramp and Orleans trail which both are maybe 5 miles from the Cabins.

The rules pretty much follow the Truman CDC rules. 7 fish limit per boat will be weighed in as well as your largest if you choose to participate in the big fish pot. Fish must be alive and meet the state minimum length limit of 10 inches. Because of the winter time temperatures we will start fishing at 9:00 and stop at 3:00, you will need to be in the weigh in line by 3:30. If the weather is warmer we may start earlier and the times for each tournament will be posted in advance based on the information available at the time. All state rules and regulations must be followed.

Typically there will be between 5 and 14 boats.

If you have any specific questions just let me know.

if we pay in advance do we have to meet there in person before the tournament? sounds like me and my old man may fish a few this year. don't really know anything about stockton, but it's close and an excuse to go fishing! if it freezes over you need to do an ice fishing tournament that would be fun!

I wanted to bring this back to the top for those interested. We will meet on the 17th at 8:30 at Stockton Lake Cabins for a short club meeting and then go fishing. Hope to see some of you there.

Weldon, hope you can make some and I hope the fishing is good. I am going blind tomorrow as I have not fished Stockton in 6 weeks but the weather looks fantastic so it will be a good day.
