    Default Hazel Creek 10/8/12

Went to Hazel Creek today with Fishroper. Super windy. Caught a bunch of dinks. Caught em about 10 ft. down in 12-15 or so foot of water near brush. Couldn't get one from a tree. Used black and pink slab busters, and blue and white slab slayers. Talked to a couple of other guys who appeared to have the same luck, with only a couple of keepers. As fishroper has pointed out before, the small fish are the ones that really "thump" the jig. Had a lot of fun. Didn't realize that I could have so much fun with non-keeper fish.

Beagle man, Hazel Creek is north of Kirksville, off of 63, and is the water supply for Kirksville. It is managed by MDC
