ah the peace and quiet of lone fishing, to bad the fish did not want to help out...better luck next time
Fished at Mark Twain this morning, Indian Creek. One fish down about 15 ft in 18 feet of water. After a brief lunch break, moved to Rt. J. Found a few in brush piles at about 3 ft. in 5-7 feet of water. Black and pink baby shad, and blue and white slab slayer. didn't really try shallow at mark twain, but more around 20-30 fow. Pretty well had Mark Twain to ourselves it seemed. didn't see but one other boat early, and never heard another. 3 boats on Rt. J.

Sounds like a good day on the water

Is the water still down at Rt J? Last time we were there we had a hard time getting the boat out. There was a drop off at the end of the ramp and I ruined a tire trying to get over it. I don't know what's up with Mark Twain but it's been bad for a month. Hope to get out next week.
Good Luck

N2crappie, yes J is down pretty low. There is a pretty good drop there, but didn't notice too big a problem. In my opinion Twain has been bad since late May. My freezer says that too. Glad to at least feel the 'thump' again
