I was looking at the rain heading our way today and scrolled out west. I was a bit surprised to see Nebraska with rain, freezing rain and snow today. NOAA is predicting 6" or more for Wyoming and Nebraska through Sunday. Then I seen pictures from South Dakota more snow. I am not sure if that weather is typical for this time of year or not. It still sucks to see it. If things progress this fast maybe the folks that like fishing on an ice cube will get their wish this year

I was told Farmers Almanac predicting 2 snows this Month, one being significant.

Just over 2 weeks and I'll be out of "snow range" for the winter but keep my fingers crossed for you guys.

I'm a ice cube fisherman so I'm hoping your correct. Although cold is more important then snow for us.

Channel 22 out of South Bend was forcasting rain with some snow mixed in for tonite into tomorrow morning. I am chomping at the bit to hit the hard water....but I could do without the snow.

With the water level so low, we need a lot of rain or snow to get ready for the spring spawn.

amen to the "no snow" - I can deal with the cold, but hate shovelling the white stuff.
Roaming the banks of the Kankakee River and anywhere else fish might lurk.

Yes snow is a detriment to forming ice. 6" of snow on 3" of ice is not a good thing. But we do need the moisture around me anyway.
