Default At death's door, we saved another! Fostering Princess.

So, in my last dog post we adopted Sophie. She's been very traumatized by life but continues to show good progress. Now... we have taken on Princess. Princess was scheduled to be put down this week along with dozens of other dogs in a mass-kill shelter in NC. The "shelter" is a deceptive word much like the term "camp" was during WWII. Princess, and her son Gordy were flown up to VA via a private pilot involved in pet rescue. We took Princess into foster care, and Gordy is in another town about 10 miles away. Princess is an amazing dog!! A bit under weight she's a 40lb lab mix; SUPER smart, enthusiastic, playful, energetic, very affectionate, and instantly integrated into our family. She now awaits a permanent home.

On a trip back from Taco Bell, and relaxing in our family room.

You are a good samaritan. Sounds like you are talking about my Brenda, but she has a pretty good home and ain't up for adoption. ha

She's a pretty girl. If I didn't already have 3 of my own, I'd take her in a minute. You and your wife are special folks for doing what you do.

She learned to catch training treats after 5 tries. That's my bare feet in the video.

That's great. Here's a pic of my "baby". I've had her for two months now.

I applaud you for doing what you do. I am afraid though if I had her it wouldn't be a foster looks like it would be hard to let her go just like child

Congrats and thanks both of my dogs Toby a full blooded boxer ( now deceased) and zoey boxer/Pit mix are shelter pups. Both amazing dogs never an accident in the house! Zoe is burned from her neck to tail by someone w a can of lighter fluid and match but she wouldn't harm a fly.

Good for you & thanks for adopting those friends. My black lab I lost to cancer last April and our other dog part pit bull(my kids as I call them) were both rescue pups and made great companions.
