    Default Smithville Water Foul Refuge

I've seen this post before but I can't seem to find it, does anyone know what dates the lake is closed off in the water foul refuge area?

I am pretty sure that you can boat through the wildlife area. You just can't fish or hunt.

I would NOT try that...may be costly.

Thanks fellas, I'm thinking about heading up river one more time before I start blowing the budget and going to Truman for some Fall/Winter fishing

I stand corrected. I was going by what a duck hunter told me quite a few years back. It is no boating!
There is the free boat ramp south of Plattsburg. They finally got it dredged out after putting in the Springtown Road bridge. It is a maze of trees coming south though.

Has anyone used the free ramp and gone downstream since the water has been so low?

C'mon nightmare, don't let a few rules get between you and a cooler full of fish.
