Cold front went through this morning and after picking up some new Southern Pro tubes at Cabelas this afternoon, during the drive home i stopped by Walnut Creek just to give it a whirl despite the wind. Ended up catching 13 black crappie today, ranging for 8 - 11"

There was one other guy out there in a wheelchair and he said he caught about 20, but we throwing them back in. I too put mine back as my cooler was at home being cleaned out.

Tomorrow the wind won't be nearly as strong and i have a feeling the crappie won't be in the same spot they were at today. I noticed Saturday when i went fishing before the Husker game that the fish were kind of lax and sluggish, plenty of small sunfish and bluegill, but occasionally i would see a bass come out of nowhere and the smaller fish would scatter away. So realized that i can't just toss the bait out there and wait for them to come and get it this fall, it seems that they actively want to chase it down.
