The cheapest way possible!!!
where do all of you get your pvc for stake beds at?
The cheapest way possible!!!
try looking around construction sites (in the refuse dumpster, not the job site stock) .... check plumbing company dumpsters .... check Lowe's/Home depot dumpsters ... any place that would have odd size pieces or broken sections that can't be used or sold. ........ luck2ya ... cpOriginally Posted by abarkley
it doesen`t have to be pvc it can be any plastic pipe or it can be wood stakes . pvc or bamboo will last longer . some wood like cypress will last a long time .

i was thinking of dumpsters and jobsites, but i wasnt sure if there would be enough scrap lying around to make it worth going after.Originally Posted by crappiepappy
I go by our local Lowe's Home Improvement Center and buy the damaged sacks of Quik-Crete for a little over a dollar a bag. Most just have a small hole in the sack.
As far as PVC my wife stopped by a local plumbing supply dealer and he told her that she could have anything damaged out in the yard. She came home with a whole pick-up bed full!
CATCH A BIG-UN
Watch for your underground utility companies. They were working in my neighborhood in preparation for widening a road. They had HUGE spools of a orange tube. They run it underground and cut off the excess. I asked them if I could have it and they were all for that. Otherwise, they have to collect it up and haul it off.
My brother is a plumber so I have access to an endless supply of shorter pieces. The josbsite dunpsters are worth looking at if you have the time.Originally Posted by abarkley

my local natural gas utility has various scrap pieces of plastic pipe.
Don't forget to ask anybody you know who works for city water departments.
