Thank you all for the warm welcome. My name is Dan Schepis and I am one of the Clay County Agents. It’s a privilege to have been invited to answer some of your questions and to join the forums. My home lake is Smithville Lake and therefore I will best be able to answer questions specific to Smithville or regarding statewide fishing regulations in general. I will be checking the forum as my schedule allows and hope to provide answers to your questions in as timely a manner as possible - your patience is greatly appreciated!

I do ask one thing, a guideline you might say, for posting on this forum; Please give a breif but descriptive title that reflects each thread/question so that users may reference the forum prior to posting a new thread, asking a question that has already been answered. This will save us all time and hopefully help answer common questions in a quicker manner.

Glad to have you on here. Several informative questions have been answered already in the short time we have had this forum. So thanks to you and the other agents and biologist that take the time to come on here and help us out with questions we have. Also a big thanks for all you guys do everyday to keep what we have in the outdoors around for us, our kids and theirs to enjoy in the future.
