    Default Night Fishing

Before I get to talking about myself I'd like to get some of your ideas on night fishing. What are some of the products and techniques you use to make sure you dont let them get away when the sun sets?

I use Lindy Jigs/minnows, or Lindy Little Nippers. I use a Reel-Lite 918 to draw the fish in. You can use a lighted bobber by Thill, or an ice fishing rod over the side of the boat, your choice. Use a net!! If you try to just reel them in without a net, they will fall back in the water, a net is a must. I also use a cap light to see with to bait my hook. Look up Night Fishing 101 on here, lots of information. Hope this will help you a little, it's just plain fun..

i use minnows under floats on 6# line. a "reel-lite" hung over the side of the boat about 2-3ft down. set up over the drop in about 12ft of water(best depths very from lake to lake). if you can locate some fish before sunset, your ahead of the game. steep breaks seem to be better for me also.

Thank you for the quick response! My reason for asking is I am working on a new technology that could possibly help when trolling, bank fishing or fishing at night. I will be able to tell you more about it in around 4 to 6 weeks from now. Im also thinking it could possibly be used in tournaments.
