    Default Horse Head Jig?

Are there any tricks that keeps powdered paint from entering the crane swivel on horse head jigs.
I use a fluid bed with the powdered paint and the paint is foaling the the swivels. :-(

I use ice water. After I heat the head I dip the crane in ice water to cool it off, shake the water off a little and then dip with paint. Hemastats is a must also. I use a heat gun for this method because the paint is not flowed out sometimes and I run it back over the heat to smooth it back out. A lot of guys wrap with foil.

I wrap mine with tin foil. After I pour them and trim them I wrap them with the tin foil and when I do my powder painting they're ready to go. If you go this method make sure to pull the tin foil before curing.

I tried Ifish's method and it just slowed me down to much.

I use heat shrink tubing i get the 1/8 dia and cut it in about 3/16 lengths put a piece on the swivel and eye i use a alcahol lamp hold it over the flame foe a few sec after it shrinks dip it in powder paint and while still warm with a pair of tweezers remove heat shrink. You have a clean jig ready to bake.I get the heat shrink at a electronic supply house4 ft piece about $3.

Thanks, that's what I figured but wanted to make sure. That's a good price.
