Man I'm glad you made it through that. I'm sure it was quite a ride...... And got some fish too..... You did alright.
was up between Sapps and Avery when the storm moved in,headed toward the ramp and about 1/2 mile b-4 we made it,ran smack dab into some of those 100 mph winds(felt like it anyway)couldn't see and I swore that the boat was going to get thrown up on the bank.We finally make it and got loaded and guess what,it's all over.We are soaked to the bone but happy to be alive.Oh,I forgot to mention the 2 lighting bolts that was way too close. But other than that ,we had a good time and caught a few fish in the hour we got to fish.Happy to be home in some dry clothes.

I have not yet begun to procrastinate .....
Nothing like riding the storm out thats for sure. Had a storm like that come in on us morning turkey hunting. Got hailed on and everything. Stuck it out and killed a nice tom. We got some of that wind here too. We live down by Bennet Springs and have power lines and trees down.

You a brave soul Dave! Glad U got home safe!
Glad you rode it out Dave to fight another day, thanks for sharing as it's a good lesson for all.
It came up quick for sure. Glad you are ok.
dang man, glad y'all made it back safe and sound.
Glad you made it out too many drownings every year.
It can get bad in a hurry. I got caught once and had to beach the boat and and took refuge next to a big log. It was hailing and the clouds were moving in 6 different directionsand I was pretty sure there was a tornado some where close. Then I heard it coming down the lake, sort of a high pitch whining sound. I snuck a peek over the log but it wasn't a tornado after all. It was an old man in a 12' vee bow with one of those old Sears 3HP air cooled outboards headed toward the ramp at full throttle.
